  “Overall every staff at Cole’s prahran are nice, all of them except one, I don’t know his name and i don’t even look at him when I go there, he is tall, old and has a long beard, he is rude as, and not only that I was on the self checkout place and without asking he put his hands in my little shopping car telling me what I should do first! I felt invaded, I always like to buy at Aldi and Cole’s, always take my receipt just in case, if I want to go to Aldi now I need to go Cole’s first because I am scared that man will accuse me of anything, I always see him picking on my trolley and after that I always get a basket even though is inconvenient but so I don’t have any problem. No supermarket around here I feel like that, Aldi they are always super nice, Woolworths, and Coles besides that specific person!”

  “I was on a tight budget when I went in for my shop and was pleased to find an item I needed in the clearance section. I go to the self-checkout and scan the discounted item along with a few other products and the discounted item showed as full price. I called for assistance and explained. The assistant accused me of lying. I was forced to leave my bag in the self-checkout, go to the clearance section, and take a photo of the item I intended to purchase. My phone was then taken out of my hand and the assistant kept zooming in on the photo, trying to see if I made a mistake somewhere despite my insistence that I had not made a mistake and I was not lying. Another assistant finally came over and told the original assistant to just change the price. The assistant then changed the price on a different product, not the product that was discounted. I had to ask her to fix this mistake and change the price on the actual discounted item. She kept sighing and had a very negative attitude towards me during this. Between being accused of lying, having my phone taken from me, and her hands repeatedly going into my bag without my consent, I felt so embarrassed. I am not a criminal and yet I feel I was treated like one.”
