When my dad came to Australia to visit us, I took him here to try brunch for the first time. He’s usually very reserved and prefers Asian food for breakfast, but after our meal, he said it was the best meal he had during his time in Australia hahaha. He loved the coffee and every dish we picked. The staff were also incredibly accommodating, polite, and helpful. We recently visited again on Mother’s Day and waited around 20 minutes for a table, but the experience was absolutely worth it. Please don’t change a thing, Via Porta — we want to keep coming back!

Food is fresh, tasty and full of flavor. However service is v slow. You have to remind them for your order. They don’t take booking in morning so 15-30 mins waiting is common. Outdoor sitting is limited to 4 tables. Indoor sitting is average with tight spaces. It is around $60 each person including a meal, drink and weekend charges.

Just here to comment on the ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ TIRAMISU mainly. I've happened upon something of a quest to find the best tiramisu locations in Melbourne, and after a friend discovered online a mention of Via Porta making a great tiramisu, I had to know for myself. Conclusion? At least at this point in my quest, I can confidently say that Via Porta's made-in-house tiramisu is the BEST that I have tried so far. Served as a large round portion resembling something like a cinnamon roll shape, it was creamy, coffee-ey, and perfectly moist spongey. It also seemed to be topped with flakey chocolate instead of the more traditional bitter cocoa dusting. I wasn't complaining. If you're a tiramisu fan, do yourself a favour please. As for the rest of what this place offers, stay posted as I didn't have time to try them out. However, the place seems to have a great vibe, varied offerings, and even a comfortable-looking, more private dining room area at the back of the shop in what looks something like a loft area. My interest has been piqued

Delicious dinner set menu for a very reasonable price, all the starters were great to kick start the appetite, and the steak was beautifully cooked. Staff were super attentive and bartender made a mean cocktail. A shot of limoncello after dinner was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

We went here for the first time for brunch. Staff were polite and quick to find us a table. Fantastic menu. Great new dishes. We tried two new dishes and loved it. They were full of flavours and decent portions too. Coffee was not so great. Mild flavours, not hot (even though I had asked for extra hot).
