This is the best charity shop in Melbourne for children and parents. - The books, clothes and toys are affordable. - The clothes are always well categorised and not packed in so tight you can't even move the hangers (every other charity shop seems to have this issue in the kids section as it does take a bit more skill to properly hang little kids clothes). -The toys are also very well packaged and displayed. - When they make toy bundles they always suit a theme - they don't just shove random items in a bag like many other thrift stores. - The puzzles generally seem to have all of their pieces. Who ever is handling the kids section really knows what they are doing - I wish other opshops would take tips! Staff are also very kind and always helpful.

They will not accept brand new clothing because it looks "old" and the lady I spoke to said it "won't sell, trust me" before proceeding to throw my shirt in the bin. Please donate your clothes elsewhere because they clearly don't value your items that are still new.

I'd give zero stars if I could. This happened a few years ago but I see the "ambience" of this place hasn't changed at all. Told the staff I was interested in a small set of drawers on wheels, they looked at me like I was a martian, said nothing, and sent along a man who took it out to the car for me after I'd paid - oooh boy, he viciously kicked the drawers along the footpath and roughly shoved it into the back seat. Meanwhile I was trying to make polite small talk, as you do when you feel a bit unnerved by someone's aggression. But I couldn't live with the drawers after that - felt so uneasy about the encounter I tossed them a week later. And yeah they were over-priced. Not a place to go to if you want joy in your life that's for sure.
