EXCEPTIONAL 🍀Laura, The Leaf’s knowledgeable owner, personally helped me curate a pile of books, from a range of genres, based on our chat & walk through The Leaf Bookshop’s gorgeous displays 🍀I bought gifts for an 80th birthday, a book-loving work colleague, my dad and a Prep aged grandson. Each one a winner! I had to buy a Pablo Picatso mug as a souvenir for myself ( thanks Allie for your suggestions💡) 🍀 Hayley & the team have created warm reading nooks for kids 👑🍄🍃& the delightful wall murals and displays, helped me retreat into the magic of this bookish realm and the comfort and excitement that comes from choosing special treasures 🍀Every single person made me feel so welcome and we shared our favourite reads 🍀 Book clubs offer community, new reads & discussion in a friendly, relaxed environment with delicious nibbles 🍀Best of all, I found out Ashburton has been home to these ‘Leafies’ for generations 🍀Supporting a small business with a big ❤️ heart is important to me I LOVED visiting. Highly recommend

We were not sure what to buy as a gift however when we explained the personality of our birthday girl we had a selection of fantastic titles to choose from. Very helpful staff and a lovely store.

Brilliant bookshop, cannot recommend highly enough. They have a great range and, super-importantly, knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to help with difficult selections. The other thing we really really like about them is that they take safety seriously. Their staff are masked, their doors are open and they have air filters installed. As our family includes someone who is highly vulnerable to adverse consequences from respiratory infections the diligence shown here is something we absolutely appreciate .... and something we wish other retailers would emulate. Thank you. :-)

I love having a local, independent book shop. (Apart from the greeting cards $$$) Prices are very reasonable, the range is good and there's enough space to browse and make informed decisions before buying. Fantastic staff and community.
