  “This op shop is overpriced and staff are argumentative, arrogant and rude. They had an aluminium teapot marked as " 14th century antique silver plated rare $85" - i did a search and provided the results, as they were so wrong. It was a 19th century, not silver plated nor rare, worth maybe $10, but the guy ranted that there was one that looked the same online, and therefore the one in the shop had to be the same. Wrong. It was stamped silver plated, big difference. And it was much cheaper too. They have pricing signs that say 50c unless otherwise marked, but charge more, irrespective of their signs. Much better, cheaper and friendly places in the area”

  “Its rare to walk into an opshop and be met with ladies behind the counter that are rude and cold but thats what I’ve experienced for years. Items are also overpriced to the point its kind of a joke, and dont even bother trying to donate unless you want to feel like youve soured your day…”

  “I have donated items many times - usually left in the bins outside. However, recently it was during business hours and so I went in to see the staff to drop off my items. As others have mentioned, the staff were rude and dismissive, which is disappointing for a charity. I now give my donations to other charities who I feel are grateful for good donations.”

  “After three disappointing experiences, I feel compelled to share my feedback via this medium. I would prefer to speak directly to staff to share my experience as an opportunity for them to reflect their behaviour and perhaps consider some changes - however I don't believe that would be well received. My most recent visit to gift high quality goods was met by the manager and a staff member with annoyance and a dismissive attitude towards me. As a recently bereaved person, giving away these highly quality clothes - 95% of which have never been worn and other quality goods, I was left feeling like I'd dumped my weekly trash at their door and my presence was an inconvenience. I had instructions barked at me to do this or that and what's this?? I did not react and left as soon as I could. It really upset me and I wish I'd not chosen them again as these items are of great sentimental value to me and my family. I have since connected with other charity shops in the local area, who were lovely to deal with and very welcoming. From now on my quality items will go to them. I did not even receive a thank you from The Ashy shop.”

  “Popped in around 12.30 on Saturday and viewed main shop...appealing but not affordable. Overheard sales assistants discussing how they had placed earrings so they wont be stolen. Went outside to access back area but was unsure how so went back in shop and asked. After opening the gate I was accosted by someone from sorting room who told me off-accusing me of breaking in...apparently it's closed while they eat lunch, despite opening hours stating otherwise. I mentioned having asked inside but the middle aged grumpy male refused to acknowledge it was the their communication issue. Go elsewhere...so many other lovely op shops where you will not be treated as a criminal.”
