★★★★★“Local street market. A good range of largely seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. Also eggs, honey, flowers and good bread and pastries. The nut stall has a great range. There are also good food stalls. Try to avoid breakfast before you get there.”

★★★★★“The Gleadell Street Farmers Market is hands down the best in Melbourne! The produce is always incredibly fresh, and the stallholders are so lovely—they’re happy to chat and share tips about their products. It’s a bustling hub of activity, so if you want to avoid the crowds, the best time to go is before 9 am. That said, it’s worth the buzz, as more and more stallholders seem to join each week, bringing an even greater variety of fresh goods. Whether you’re after seasonal fruit and veg, artisanal bread, or specialty items, this market truly has it all!”

★★★★★“Best market full of fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables, pastries and bread. The flowers always last longer than the ones I buy at the florist and are a lot cheaper too. The stall holders are very friendly and helpful too.”

★★★★★“I have been going to this market for 3 years now and I would say this is a great place to buy your fruits and veggies on cheap. It is a Saturday market only and finishes at 1 pm. If you need a steal then visit around 12 pm to get great deals. The fruits and veggies are fresh and the prices are great too. The community is amazing and it is a great place to spend your Saturday mornings. You will get seafood, fresh honey, kombucha, bread, flowers, organic products, eggs and killer sausage rolls too. The products are sold by local farmers who source the produce from their farms so the quality is amazing. If you are a Richmond local then this is a place to visit and contribute to the community. There is a lovely dog park and a great cafe right across Gleadell Street if you want a coffee or a quick bite.”
