  “I recently had the pleasure of attending The Bubble Emporium performance at Prahran Square, and as a professional observer, I was genuinely impressed by how this installation seamlessly blended artistry, community, and childlike wonder. From the moment you step into Prahran Square, enhanced by the neighbouring Ephemeral Collection; the atmosphere feels transformative. At night, 7.5metre-tall bubbles constructed with iridescent film gently glow under soft lighting, imparting a dreamlike quality to the space. The Bubble Emporium show itself was equally compelling. With performances running nightly at 6 pm and 8 pm, the production offers two distinct yet complementary acts: The Golden Oldies (a whimsical, theatrical experience) and The Boys in Blue (an upbeat, outdoor dance party). What struck me most was the sheer visual scale; up to 20,000 bubbles per minute float through the air, creating an immersive playground of light, movement, and joy. There are no language barriers either; the performance is entirely visual, which allows it to connect with audiences of all ages, regardless of background. From a service and experience standpoint, the event is wonderfully accessible: free to attend, with no booking required, and encourages exploration rather than rigid seating. The lack of seating actually adds to its charm, people are free to move through the space, interact with the bubbles, and absorb the ambiance at their own pace. The atmosphere is best described as magical yet grounded. There’s a professional theatrical quality to the performance, but it retains a communal warmth, inviting passersby, families, and art lovers alike to linger, smile, and reflect. In reflection, The Bubble Emporium at Prahran Square is more than just a performance; it’s a thoughtful reminder of the simple beauty that can be found in the ephemeral. As a professional evaluator, I see it not only as a creative success, but as a meaningful contribution to public art and community engagement.”
