  “the vibe is warm, welcoming and just the right amount of fabulous. The staff are genuinely awesome — not just polite, but actually friendly and up for a chat. They make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there, which is such a rare find on chapel. You’re not just another table. And the owner? absolute honey (didnt meet blondie). The cocktails are really balanced and seriously delicious. You can tell there’s real passion here, including from the frenchie from Calle.   “The Ivy is a great place to catch up with friends over drinks and nibbles. The atmosphere is chic yet cosy, especially on a winter’s night with the open fireplace creating a lovely ambience. The food was fresh/simple and beautifully presented, the wine-by-the-glass selection was excellent, and the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. On the evening we were there, Brenda and Jamie were playing live music and were wonderfully interactive with the crowd, even taking song requests from guests.   “I held my 50th birthday at Ivy Piano Bar last month, after making a very late booking. My guest list increased from an estimated 30 people to over 70 people, including some rather ‘aged’ guests, one in a wheelchair. Sasha, Harper and the FABULOUS team at Ivy not only ensured everyone was comfortable, well fed with amazing food, happy and extremely well looked after, they, along with the thoroughly entertaining Katie Weston and Jamie Burgess at the piano, created an event that even a month after, people are still raving about. Nothing was overlooked, and every request was accommodated with professionalism and great humour. I cannot recommend this jewel of Melbourne’s venues enough. And, coming from a music background, to have a team of people so committed to keeping music live is rare and needs to be supported in our wonderful city.
