Food is ok. Nicely presented but Not memorable. Which isn't great as it is expensive. Steak sandwich was big, the steak inside was small but tender. Service was great but Very disappointed when asked to take away uneaten half and was told no, which is obviously management not waitresses. Lamb shank not cooked properly, not falling off bone, had to cut it. Restaurant very quiet for a Saturday night. I wonder why...😆

This is the second time in the last three weeks I have dined at The Racecourse Hotel and I was not disappointed. It is a low key hotel with a relaxed atmosphere that serves really lovely, quality food that is reasonably priced compared to some other hotels whee I've dined. They also offer Seniors meals if that's what you're after. A couple of people who shared the Aracini balls as a starter said they were the best they've had. The Seafood Linguni was delicious as well. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave us very good service. Parking is a breeze with a carpark at the back which can be accessed from either Malvern Rd or Dandenong Rd. It was quite busy being a Friday night but the noise level wasn't too bad. We will definately be back.

Food was regular pub food nothing exceptional. I asked for mushroom sauce and was given gravy . Apparently friends who go there say that you never know what you will get. Service was friendly and polite.Atmosphere also very pleasant

Best parma I've had in quite some time, great flavour with cheese baked on to the underside as well, nice. Vinaigrette salad and crispy chips 👍👍👍 @melbourne.food.reviews #melbournefoodcollective #melbournefoodreviews

Very impressive place for quality pub food. Feels more like a restaurant and the food is a very high quality with great service. The outside appearance is a bit dated, however it has a good range of menu choices and decent wine list. Definitely one of the better gourmet pubs around.
