★★★★☆“Adam’s pies are the best I’ve had in 15 years in this country! Everything is under construction for awhile as of this week, so it’s awkwardly cramped and an absolute maze of scaffolding to climb through just to reach the good playground (there’s also a terrible one around the back that needs to be demolished). Hopefully they move the fences around to make this work a bit better. Could do with some live music…”

★★★★★“It was my first time at Carlton Farmers Market, but it won't be my last. I was really impressed with the quality of purveyors, food options, fruit and veg etc. It was a really good market, and I didn't get bored. Masses Bagels, Black Vice Coffee, Cham Cham sauce; just to name a few of the awesome producers that were there. I had the honey and cream cheese bagel, it was very good. The fruit and veg were really impressive. Some of the best I've seen lately, some of the traders were supplying straight from their own farms. There was fresh meat, eggs, honey etc. I felt spoilt for choice. Overall, I'd call this a small but very well-formed market. It's definitely worth a visit. It reminds me a bit of Orange Grove market in Sydney, just a lot smaller. I think that's because it's on the school grounds.”

★★★☆☆“I visited the Carlton Farmers Market today with my daughter, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The market is held at a local primary school, which might explain why it felt a bit smaller than I expected. Despite its modest size, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There were some truly wonderful food options available — fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. However, I did find the selection a little limited. I would have loved to see more variety, especially in fresh produce. That said, it was quite a cold and windy morning, which might have affected the number of stallholders and visitors. Even so, I appreciated the local charm and community feel of the market. It’s definitely a spot I’d like to return to — hopefully on a sunnier day when there are more stalls to explore.”

★☆☆☆☆“Seems like a good market, but a total dog-fest. Don’t really think the organisers are following food regs or the council is doing its job checking compliance.”

★★★★☆“Quite a small market with not many stalls. The veg sold are fresh from the farm.”
