★★★★☆“This is basically an area along the Main Yarra Trail in Kew East. There’s a little parking on Burke Road near Pond Art Water Gardens. I rather like this area, in part because fungi is plentiful at the right time of year. But being on this particular trail, if you’re on foot you’ll have to contend with cyclists, and if you’re cycling, you’ll strike (hopefully only figuratively) some pedestrians. I didn’t spot toilets or other amenities. It’s really just a walking/cycling spot area. It should be noted that walking towards the city from this point, you will strike some not terribly pretty spots that boast the freeway at quite close proximity on one side, and views down to a golf course on the other. But if you walk/cycle outbound, you’ll reach the Yarra Flats Reserve. Worth a visit. And there are plenty of trails in all sorts of directions. Probably not all that dog friendly.”
