★★★★★“I have my savoury pastry stall here. Such lovely people come here and I feel like wanting to get to know all my customers. The volunteers are so helpful and I also have fun mingling with other great stallholders”

★★★★★“Hawthorn Makers Market is a collective of talented vintage craft makers. Everything seems made from scratch and many items are fabric/ wool based....as reflected in pricing. Most items over $20. Its an awesome spot to purchase a handknitted baby gift. Entry by donation. Free parking at rear on Sundays.Make time to visit the Town Hall Gallery whilst you're in the same building.”

★★★★★“Glad we dropped in - good venue for a stroll and chat with friends with food & drink to accompany. Lots of beautiful , original and useful items for gifts and yourself. Food - drink : Coffee cart, artisan bread & pastries (eg pretzel, sourdough, croissant, tart), gluten free bakery, cookies & cake, scone cart, Indian savoury puff pastries Crafts (partial list only) - plants , knitted items (including soft toys), jewellery, hand carved wooden items (from pastry rolling pins to stools to decorative bowls), beautiful original watercolours of native birds, furoshiki and similar Japanese fabric items, natural soaps. Lots more. Most stall holders I spoke with indicated they come every month. Will be back with list of things I might pick up. When : 1st Sunday of every month.”

★★★★☆“A small gathering of market stalls - no doubt due to crumby weather and possibly the covid factor. However lovely stall holders and a nice selection of stalls. I still managed to purchase quite a bit. Including yummy food, great priced native plants, hand crafted items and gorgeous earrings and smelly things.”

★☆☆☆☆“One of the saddest markets I've been to. People selling homemade garbage with no skill or artistic merit. Can't see why anyone would buy yet there are high prices. Charity vultures also circle the market. Was tricked into visiting because of the high reviews that I really don't understand. The only positive is the adjacent arts centre has nice exhibits.”
