It's a lovely place to stop on a bike ride. Staff are very friendly. We had a chicken cheese avocado toastie, a pot of tea and iced coffee. The presentation was unremarkable compared to other photos seen here. Maybe I should try a different dish next time we come this way. There's a cute outdoor garden seating surrounded by plants right on the trail. There is plenty of indoor seating and outdoor dining also on the foot path. This area is shielded with a clear roof to floor plastic in cool weather. Dogs are welcome here and there are 2 water bowls available.

Golden Child Café served one of the best long blacks I’ve had—rich crema, beautifully balanced flavours, served with a small glass of carbonated mineral water to refresh the tastebuds. (It was my first one for 2025) Jack and his team were warm and welcoming, and the vibe was spot on. My only disappointment? They still can’t control the weather (drizzling & cool) but that’s Melbourne for you. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic! ☕️ P.S If you ask nicely they’ll put a slice of lemon in your water.

Beautiful family owned business. They were very friendly and welcoming. I loved their Salmon Bagels and all type of coffees. I had Almond latte in the early morning and Soy latte with my breakfast. However, I think they could make a bit better with Atlantic Salmon Benedict as you could smell of the non pleasant fish from the food (need some herbs). Also, the menu was not really clear about some items which we asked the staff and smash Avocado was not really smashed. Finally, we enjoyed our breakfast at this place. Thank you 😊

Great coffee, superb food and brilliant service - Jack and the team are the perfect suburban cafe team, what a treat to be just around the corner ☕🍳

Three of us came to Golden Child Cafe on a Saturday morning for brunch. I ordered a ham cheese tomato croissant and a chai latte. The food was pretty tasty and the service was very good, but just be aware of the weekend surcharge. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time at this cafe as it has a very warm feeling when you step inside. Thank you :)
