★★★★★“Had a really lovely dinner here. The woodfired pizza was great — nice thin base with good flavour and not dry at all. We also ordered pasta and it was cooked perfectly, very comforting and well balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, especially sitting outside, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Overall a really enjoyable experience and would happily come back again.”

★★★★★“We went here to celebrate a bridal shower and we all thought it was just going to be a simple, sit down dinner in a corner but we did not expect to be treated so special. Angela and Francesco took their time and effort to call me and prepare their private room, I didn’t even have to ask. They’re such lovely, accommodating and such a genuine couple. Tom, our server, was so wonderful and patient. Climbed 2-3 flights of stairs every few minutes to check up on us (and deliver food ofc). Always made sure we were ok and enjoying the food. Speaking of food! Absolute perfection. The Gamberi pasta and Fungi pizza were amazing. Big chunks of prawn, the bisque was so flavourful but doesn’t have that fishy taste. Fungi pizza was PACKED with mushrooms and this beautiful truffle oil that wasn’t overbearing unlike others I’ve had. Crust was beautiful with the perfect amount of spots! I will definitely be back and hopefully get to seat at their beautiful outdoor setting.”

★★★★★“Another suburb explored, another restaurant discovered. This time, we visited Di Francesco Cucina Italiana in Deepdene for an authentic Italian dining experience. We started with the South Australian octopus entrée, pan-fried with N’duja, olive dust, saffron mash, and pickled red onion. The combination of smoky, spicy, and creamy flavours made it absolutely memorable. Next came the Pizza Montanaro — topped with broccolini cream base, fior di latte, taleggio cheese, pancetta, mixed mushrooms, and fresh chilli. Easily one of the most unique pizzas we have tried so far, with rich earthy flavours balanced by the subtle heat of the chilli. For dessert, we indulged in the pear custard calzoncino, garnished with hazelnut chocolate, drizzled with honey, and finished with an amarena cherry. A sweet and comforting way to end the meal. To complete the Italian experience, we were given the choice between liquor or coffee after dessert. Out of curiosity, we chose coffee — the perfect finale to a satisfying and authentic Italian feast. PS: staff are nice too!”

★★★★★“Food was very good. Bruschetta with the Cherry Tomatoes was flavoursome, the Spaghetti Gamberi was very enjoyable and the Pizza was quite a decent size with great flavours and a little kick with spice which is very welcome. Only negative is its hard to have a conversation with your partner as the place is quite noisy inside. All in all a great place with very good food and service. Highly recommend.”

★★★★★“Amazing is what the team does everyday - and always with a smile! We had 3 generations for dinner tonight and everyone gave it the thumbs up. We thoroughly enjoyed the kingfish crudo and octopus specials tonight. Still can’t resist the crab spaghetti and gamberi spaghetti which is our go-to. Thanks Frank and Angela for a lovely evening. It’s easy to see why this local gem is always bustling.”
