★★★★★“Randomly decided to have breakfast here today - ordered the full English breakfast and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. Sausages were delicious, eggs were perfect and beans not too sweet. Would definitely recommend and return. Staff were also lovely and warm.”

★★★☆☆“Small cafe on the main road ( hard to spot if travelling towards the city...but very clearly visible when going in the opposite direction)There is a local statue and sign but it faces against the main road, so not super helpful. Coffees were great, Food was okay, our San Pedro's were a bit bland but the Persian menu( Do ask about....it's authentic & tasty homemade dishes!) Should be listed on a specials board to get more attention.”

★★★★★“I have to say this is the best poached egg and brunch that I’ve ever had I like it so much. This is recommended by the person at the front. The service was just so nice warming and chill! I’d like to come here again.”

★★★★☆“Travelling bandit This area of North Balwyn, it’s Greythorn really, strikes me as needing a bit of a lift, foodwise at least. Travelling Bandit looked like comfortably the best cafe option on a scan of both sides of this shopping strip (although I later spotted the Jolly Miller which is in a more secluded area off the road). The cafe has street appeal then and its moderately attractive inside too and almost cute. It also has very nice front and back open areas. Most importantly, the coffee is very good here. They serve a perfectly respectable brew that would be easily at home in any of the more fancied areas. The menu is said to be good too, I understand. The cafe was doing an acceptably good trade among all age groups while I was there. The staff dealt with the custom politely and efficiently. There was a hits mix on that was mainly 80s. It was inoffensive and quite pleasant after a while. Nice place overall. A terrific option if you’re in this area. I’d happily return another time.”

★★★★★“Awesome local cafe very busy for its size and location (extra parking available out back). Definitely a gem! The Sri Lankan Egg Hopper packs a good punch and has an excellent mix of spice, textures and flavors. The Aussie Smash was well balanced with hearty vegies and the San pedro was simple but tasty. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Coffees are strong and made well to order. Will be back again A++!! Loved it!”
